Olirum Kovai is launched
Olirum Kovai is launched
Olirum Kovai begins with the vision of cleaning up Race Course Road in Coimbatore — driving better civic responsibility and creating a lasting impact for the city. The first dumping ground on Race Course Road is cleared and transformed into a vehicle parking area.
Coimbatore City Development Trust is formed
The Coimbatore City Development Trust (CCDT) is established with an ambitious vision: transforming Coimbatore across cleanliness, entrepreneurship, urban infrastructure, public conveniences, and community safety. Key civic leaders come together to drive lasting change for the city.
Strategic institutional partnerships
Formal partnerships with Coimbatore's leading schools and colleges are established, with the city's NCC leading the charge to encourage student and institutional participation. A new wave of youth-led civic engagement begins across the city.
City-wide awareness and AQI launch
Essay writing competitions, clean-up drives, and in-school awareness and education programs reach students across Coimbatore. Olirum Kovai launches its first Air Quality Monitoring Station, providing real-time AQI data to the general public.
